Another beautiful wedding from 2018!
Cera and Luca were an absolute delight to photograph and we had a lot of fun. The day started early at St Giles House-Hotel in Norwich before walking our way to the beautiful St. Peter Mancroft church just around the corner. My Dad was the vicar at this wedding which made taking photos in the church very relaxed...! I mean, it's my Daddy, I can do what I want right?! ;-) The service was truly wonderful and Luca, the groom, was walked down the aisle by his Mother before Cera made her entrance. This was a lovely traditional touch! Cera's family are from Hong Kong and Luca's are from Italy, so there were many guests who had travelled far for this special day. I really enjoyed hearing all the different languages and seeing different cultures joining together to make their wedding so special.
After the service, Luca drove his bride off in a Lotus which, by the way, is quite difficult to get a huge wedding dress into and makes for an entertaining moment! We went to Waterloo park in the city where we had been for the pre wedding shoot and spent lots of time taking photos. The white umbrella I carry in my boot came in handy when it decided to rain, just for a bit! Made for some nice umbrella shots though! Luckily we missed the main downpour which graced us with its presence as we were driving to the venue!
The wedding reception was held at Brasteds on the outskirts of Norwich. The staff at the venue were wonderful and very accommodating to us photographers :)! Cera and Luca's meal was quite incredible and consisted of seven courses (I think..!!) A variety of traditional dishes from Italy and Hong Kong. The speeches were lovely and these were presented by the Best Man and the Maid of Honour. The cake... well, the photos will speak for themselves but OH my goodness it was incredible! It really helped tell Cera and Luca's story as they are very adventurous with climbing mountains and have been to every continent (except one which they are covering on their honeymoon...). It truly was just full of beautiful moments, not to mention a lovely Father/Daughter dance featuring an extremely proud Father. Throughout the evening there were performances from family and guests including a beautiful Chinese dance performed by Cera's Mother, belly dancing, Italian song and mime performance, improvisation and Cera also sang a beautiful song! Again, I will let the photos do the talking :)
Thank you Cera and Luca for choosing me as your wedding photographer and thank you for being so patient waiting for your photos! I wish you all the best for your future.
A special thanks to my second shooter Jemma Hardy-Goddard who took some wonderful shots from the back of the church (and of course from other angles throughout the day!). By having a second shooter, Cera and Luca have even more photos than they would have done with just me!
Anyway, enough of my rambling... Enjoy these photos. I hope they successfully tell the story of what was a truly beautiful day.
